Donor-Advised Funds

Give From Your DAF

Every year, thousands of people are affected by the life-altering impacts of stroke. The Stroke Foundation is dedicated to providing essential support, resources, and guidance to stroke survivors and their caregivers as they navigate life after stroke.

Your Giving. Their Recovery.

Help Build a Better Life After Stroke

A stroke can change a life in seconds, but recovery can continue for months or years. After leaving the hospital, many stroke survivors and caregivers face a new set of challenges: finding the right rehabilitation, understanding what recovery can look like, navigating financial barriers, accessing trusted information, and figuring out what comes next. The Stroke Foundation exists to help close those gaps.

When you recommend a grant from your donor-advised fund, you help us provide resources, financial assistance, education, and support to stroke survivors and caregivers across the country.

FAQ

Fundraising Questions?
We’ve Got Answers.

Explore the most common questions about starting a fundraiser, collecting donations, and making an impact.
What is a gift in my will, and how does it help stroke survivors?

Leaving a gift in your will—also known as a legacy or bequest gift—allows you to designate a specific amount, percentage of your estate, or particular asset to The Stroke Foundation. Your generous contribution ensures that future programs, such as rehabilitation grants, caregiver support, and educational resources, continue to be available for generations of stroke survivors and their families.

How do I include The Stroke Foundation in my will?

To leave a gift in your will, consult your legal advisor and mention The Stroke Foundation using our full name and EIN: 84‑4179502. You can specify your gift as a fixed amount, a percentage of your estate, or a specific asset. Then, let us know your plan so we can express our gratitude and share how your legacy will make a difference.

Can I learn more before making this commitment? Who can I contact?

Absolutely. If you'd like to talk through your options or get help with the process, email the Stroke Foundation at info@thestrokefoundation.org. Our team is happy to answer your questions in confidence and help ensure your legacy gift reflects your wishes.
