A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable giving account that allows you to set aside funds for charitable purposes and recommend grants to eligible nonprofit organizations over time.
Click Give From My DAF, enter your gift amount, and select Donor-Advised Fund as your payment method. You’ll then be able to choose your DAF provider, securely access your account, and recommend your grant to The Stroke Foundation.
Your DAF provider may ask for our legal organization name and EIN: The Stroke Foundation, EIN 84-4179502.

The minimum grant amount is determined by your individual DAF provider. Many providers allow grants at a wide range of giving levels.
Some DAF providers allow you to schedule recurring grant recommendations directly through your account. If you’re interested in providing ongoing support, check with your provider or contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
You generally receive your charitable tax deduction when you contribute assets to your donor-advised fund. Because of that, grants later recommended from your DAF do not usually generate an additional charitable deduction. We will still acknowledge your grant and, when donor information is available, thank you for your support.
Yes. Depending on your DAF provider, you may be able to recommend a grant anonymously. If you choose to share your contact information, it allows us to thank you and keep you informed about the impact of your gift.
Your grant can help The Stroke Foundation expand access to recovery resources, provide financial assistance, support caregivers, develop trusted education, and strengthen support for people navigating life after stroke.
Yes. If you would like your gift to honor or remember someone affected by stroke, please include that information with your grant recommendation or contact us so we can help ensure your wishes are reflected.
